Kansas State University is hosting WHEATS in the fall of 2008. This is the Workshop in the History of Environment, Agriculture, Technology and Science. Society Annual Meeting
The winners of the Agricultural History Society annual awards
were announced at the 2007 Annual Meeting at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. The awards included the Everett
E. Edwards Award for the best article in Agricultural History
by a graduate student; the Vernon Carstensen
Memorial Award for the best article in Agricultural History;
the Wayne D. Rasmussen Award for the best
article on agricultural history not published in Agricultural History;
the Gilbert C. Fite Dissertation Award for
the best dissertation on agricultural history; and the Theodore
Saloutos Memorial Award for the best book on agricultural history.
