Internship: Tennessee Agricultural Museum

The Tennessee Department of Agriculture has announced two Summer 2024 internship opportunities at the Tennessee Agricultural Museum. Files are attached to the descriptions with more information.

  1. Education Internship: This track is designed for undergraduate students interested in gaining experience in agricultural education and outreach. Interns will have the opportunity to assist with creating, scheduling and leading educational programs for elementary age students. Duties also include engaging visitors, and assistance with public outreach efforts.

  2. Curatorial Internship: This track is ideal for undergraduate students with a passion for history, museum studies, and curation. Interns will work closely with the Tennessee Agricultural Museum Curator to assist with evaluating, interpreting, accessioning, and storing museum artifacts. Duties also include maintaining collection accession records, and public outreach efforts.

Both internship tracks offer valuable hands-on experience and the opportunity to learn from industry experts within the Tennessee State Agricultural Museum. Applications are due 15 March 2024.
